The latest new German engineered and manufactured AX2 foam is a blend between the A2 and X1 latex. This means you get all the wet weather grip you need with the added durability of the X1 additives. Add in the removable finger protection and you have the perfect all round goalie glove.

Brand new German engineered AX2 foam. This new latex is a blend of wet weather A2 and the excellent all rounder X1. When combined, they form the AX2 which offers superb grip in wet and dry conditions as well as better durability than other soft Reusch foams. This latex is very populart with Reusch's European goalkeepers.

Finger Protection

Yes, Reusch's coveted Ortho-Tec system is the best in the business. The finger and thumb spines are very flexible when the goalkeeper needs to make a fist, but become very sturdy and rigid when the fingers are extended to prevent hyper extension. The finger spines are removable for personal customization for each goalkeeper.

The backhand, on this Reusch soccer goalie glove, features Pro Latex all over paired with Reusch Pro Flex technology which increased comfort and flexibility in the glove. The embossed foam design makes the glove more flexible at many break points. The Backhand Side Wrap envelopes the backhand material around the side of the hand. This features gives extra protection to the palm material and the keeper's side of hand.

The optimal fit and catching zone provided by Reusch's revolutionary Expanse Cut ESS (Ergonomic Support System) uses a pattern that helps the fingers to be pre-splayed (spread so the keeper has a better hand position on the ball), which helps the goalkeeper catch the ball with the correct technique. Rolled Thumb with the 3-D Thumb Crotch to eliminate tear out between the thumb and index finger of the glove. Reusch have included Keep Control, which sees the inside of the pinky finger covered in a highly functional latex material. This aids the goalkeeper when holding onto shots and during throwing technique.

The new wider Neoprene Wrist Bandage gives the goalie a better fit and more control. The Pull Loop System helps the goalkeeper get the glove on and off. This AX2 goalie glove also features the new Asymmetrical Slip On Cuff, which elongates the wrist bandage to help secure the wrist.

Pro level goalkeeper glove for advanced keepers

This glove excels in wet conditions and now dry thanks to the hybrid AX2 latex.

I recently purchased these gloves and have only used them twice, however, that was enough for me to see their quality, if not necessarily durability. I live in a very humid state so the specific adaptability to the wet was important to me, however I haven't really had the chance to test those qualities out much yet, but I can tell they are there. That being said, the stick on the palm is great. I found the gloves practically had a mind of their own when it came to putting in the last effort to stick to the ball. I made a few saves far more easily than I would have with substandard gloves. The wrist support is great, I took probably the hardest shot I've ever taken, off one hand, and felt no soreness whatsoever as I might with other gloves. They are tough to get on, particularly the second glove, even with the strap, which I think is the best in the game, so be ready to have a team mate help you out. One negative, after only 1, not so intense use, I noticed some wear on the glove. That may have been because of a particular fall or not I'm not really sure, but I'd recommend them to anyone willing to spend the extra money.
